- The College professor is trying to teach an entire class of people how to program,
- some of those probably don't know very much about it to begin with and therefore his
- considerations are to produce code which can be easily understood be all of the
- group and not just a few people who have experience in coding.
-
- If you are so worried about memory and speed in the second of your little whinges
- then why didn't you suggest using a linked list approach which would allow you to
- delete nodes easily from any type of structure and only use memory when required..
-
- As for your final whinge see my top answer, it is more important for novices to gain
- a sound understanding of programming concepts from the start, and therefore highly
- commented code which is a pain to wade through when you know what you are doing is
- very useful when you're a beginner.
-
- And finally if it is your Visual Basic lecturer who is annoying you why don't you
- post to something like alt.whinging.visualbasic.students or something
